Benjamin Bratt Returns to Law & Order
added by newsBotIt turns out you can go home again. After a couple of failed series (Jerry Bruckheimer's military drama E-Ring and A&E's rehab drama The Cleaner), the very delicious Benjamin Bratt is returning to the show that made him a star: Law & Order. According to NBC, Bratt's gonna make a one-episode appearance later this season in an installment that "reunites him with his former boss Lt. Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson)." The network hasn't announced a specific airdate for the ep. Even if it is just a flyby, we'll be more than happy to have Benjamin back on TV. Rey Curtis was always a great character, and heck, he was Julia Roberts' best boyfriend ever. »

Exclusive: Benjamin Bratt returns to 'Law & Order'
added by newsBotThis should boost those sagging Friday ratings. Benjamin Bratt has signed on to reprise his role as Det. Rey Curtis on Law & Order, sources confirm to me exclusively. Bratt, who vacated the mothership a decade ago, will shoot his one-episode comeback next month. I'm told the actor will figure heavily in a story involving S. Epatha Merkerson's Van Buren. Might he be back to comfort her during her current health crisis? That's my guess. Happy to have Det. Curtis back, even if it's just for one episode? Sound off below! Photo Credit: Albert L. 'Modern Family' Gets Benjamin Bratt to Guest Star
added by newsBotIt might seem a bit gimmicky, but having familiar stars as guests on sitcoms still works like magic, and Modern Family's early success is certainly giving it some opportunities to the pool of talent at its disposal. Tonight Shelly Long will guest star as Jay's (Ed O'Neill) ex-wife, who's just a tad eccentric, and Edward Norton has also been confirmed in an upcoming episode where he'll be the bass player in a band that performs for Phil as a surprise anniversary gift. Well, you can add yet another guest star to the list as Benjamin Bratt has been confirmed as a future guest star as well.
Bratt will play Gloria's (Sofia Vergara) much hyped ex-husband, and the father of young Manny. We've heard a bit about this character already, as Manny talks non-stop about how great his father is, despite the fact that he always seems to make excuses »

Shelley Long and Benjamin Bratt on Modern Family
added by newsBotI was already looking forward to Shelley Long guest starring on tonight's episode of Modern Family. Long is playing the unstable ex-wife of Jay, played by Ed O'Neill, who I also like.
Modern Family has been one of the best new comedies this year, delivering on the hype surrounding it by establishing an appealing base of characters. And yesterday, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Benjamin Bratt signed on to play Javier Delgado, the ex-husband of Jay's new wife, Gloria Delgado-Prtichett, who is played by Sofia Vergara.
Both are great casting, and seem to be a good fit.

Benjamin Bratt: Part of the Modern Family
added by newsBotAccording to Modern Family, Gloria's ex-husband is either the coolest guy on the planet (according to son Manny); or a total flake (according to Gloria's latest squeeze, Jay).
Viewers will soon decide for themselves, as Benjamin Bratt has been cast in the role. There's no word yet on when this season he'll appear.
Bratt recently starred in the just-canceled The Cleaner and has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
He joins a list of impressive first season guest stars, one that includes Shelley Long and Edward Norton. »

Bratt will play the ex-husband of Sofia Vergara's Gloria, who is now married to the much older Jay ( Ed O'Neill). The character has been referenced often this season: His son, Manny, idolizes his absentee father while Gloria speaks regularly of his physical prowess, much to Jay's chagrin.

Benjamin Bratt (The Cleaner) has been cast as a guest star on ABC's Modern Family, where he will play the ex-husband of Sofia Vergara's Gloria. Bratt is currently slated to appear in one episode of the ABC comedy series, where his character has been mentioned but not yet seen. Look for some friction between Bratt's character and Ed O'Neill's Jay. (Hollywood Reporter) Great news for Gilmore Girls fans. Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino will write and executive produce an untitled dramedy project for pay cabler HBO about the "complicated relationship between three adult sisters, all writers sharing the same upper east side apartment building, and their mother, a domineering literary lioness who reserves most of her affections for their ne'er-do-well brother," according to Hollywood Reporter's Nellie Andreeva. The project marks the first time that Sherman-Palladino has worked in cable. (Editor: I »
