Hugh Jackman Starring In Avon Man
added by newsBot20th Century Fox has acquired “Avon Man” from “Hitch” writer Kevin Bisch, which will be used as a comedic vehicle for Hugh Jackman. The story follows Jackman’s character, who after being laid off from an auto dealership, ends up having to become an Avon makeup salesman, who uses his looks and personality to make sales. He eventually ends up recruiting many of his former coworkers to save his financially-dying town by winning a regional contest. Jackman and his Seed Production partner John Palermo will be producing along with Gary Foster from Krasnoff Foster Entertainment. No other information on the project has been released so far. Recession Forces Hugh Jackman to Become ‘Avon Man’
added by newsBotDamn this recession! When will the turn around come? So many have been laid off, so many are wandering aimlessly down the streets in tattered clothes, so many are eating beans out of cans. And now, the economic downturn's latest victim is none other than super famous actor and mutton-chop enthusiast Hugh Jackman who has taken a job selling Avon products. Or, he's being cast as a character that has to sell Avon products. The details are still shaky in my head. According to Variety, the X-man will join Fox's Avon Man, the story of a car salesman who loses his job and sells out his masculinity a bit to start selling Avon products. The script is from Kevin Bisch, the same guy who wrote Hitch, and it looks like it might be a comedy following in the vein of those brilliant British down-on-their-luck-moxy-group-invents-creative-way-of-making-money films like The Fully Monty and Kinky Boots. Live From Comic-Con: Preview Night
added by newsBotFirst, I have to thank Frontier Airlines for going out of their way to make sure I made Preview Night so that I could bring you the talk of the night: the Twilight tent town. The New Moon fans have been camping out since Tuesday night, and they have quite the little commune going outside of Hall H. I had to stop by and see for myself and before I even approached the first tent, you could hear the hoots of derision. "Have you even read Twilight?" said one woman to a fanboy critic. "No? Then you can't judge what you don't know!" Fair enough. I do have to admire their devotion. I don't think I have enough fangirl love in me to camp out for anything short of a Hugh Jackman striptease and even then, I think my pillow and comforter would win out. I'm an indoor sort of girl.
