Sdcc: The Nightmare on Elm Street Teaser Debuts!
added by newsBotWarner Bros. just debuted the first teaser trailer for the upcoming re-imagining of A Nightmare on Elm Street , including a full look at Jackie Earle Haley in the Freddy Krueger makeup. The trailer starts with Freddy (still alive) being chased down a dark street by the mob that winds up killing him. He's shouting that he's innocent, but the mob corners him and burns him alive. As the flames come around him, he tears off his jacket, revealing the iconic sweater. We hear the "One, two, Freddy's coming for you" song being sung by children and flashes of kids all around a graveyard. One little girl has the claws slashed across her dress. Platinum Dunes: Response to Freddy Debut
added by newsBotThe new Freddy Krueger, along with the official one sheet for A Nightmare On Elm Street was revealed at the San Diego Comic Con this week, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Producer Brad Fuller has updated his official blog with a special thank you and request that you keep the feedback coming, positive or negative, so long as it's constructive. Good ol' Freddy returns as the dream demon on April 30, 2010 (as reported yesterday). The films' premise centers on Freddy Krueger (Jackie Earle Haley), a serial child molester murdered by angry parents, who returns with a burnt face and a razor glove to terrorize teens in their dreams.

Sdcc 2009: First 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' Footage Screened
added by newsBotFootage from Platinum Dunes A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot just played in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. The footage showed Jackie Earle Haley pre burn running from an angry mob of parents, shouting that he 'hasn't done anything' - he's set on fire, tearing off his jacket to reveal his trademark sweater. It also appears as if Tina's death is similar to that in the original (lifted to the walls and ceiling). Lots of quick bits referring to the original; little girls jump rope, person in a body bag et al. At this point, I'm definitely intrigued.
