Leslie Mann Recalls Daughter’s Vacuum Protest
added by newsBotKevin Winter/Getty From the outside world, looks can be deceiving, says Leslie Mann. The wife of writer-director Judd Apatow and mother of Maude, 11, and Iris, 6, the actress admits that while it may seem she has a handle on her family, at times she is left searching for a bit of guidance. “Don’t assume I have everything figured out…I get as confused about life as everybody, and sometimes I think I’m just hurtling through the world without a plan at all,” she tells USA Weekend.
For Leslie, that constant quest to seek all the right answers is noticeably present as she navigates her way through motherhood. “The rules are completely different now than when I was a kid, and it’s hard to know what’s right,” she says.
Noting that parents once held much more authority over their children, Leslie finds herself taken aback by some of her daughters’ quick responses. »

Funny, Strange, Beautiful, Sexist People!
added by newsBotSo, I was on my way to work yesterday morning, walking through Tottenham Court Rd. station and I noticed something which made me laugh.
I’m sure you have all seen posters advertising the new Judd Apatow film Funny People all over the place. It’s a pretty standard poster with the actors in a group staring back out at you with each character having their own minor tagline next to them. Taglines that communicate something about each character in the film, taglines such as “Lucky People”, “Desperate People”, “Strange People” and for the only female on the poster the tagline reads “Beautiful People”.
It seems a disgruntled female commuter took offence to this and with a biro wrote a speech bubble that says
“Women Have Personalities Too!”
I guess the attack has come about because the poster seems to suggest that all women are good for is keeping their mouth shut and looking pretty. »
