Arrested Development: Michael Cera and Mitch Hurwitz at a Standstill Over Movie
added by newsBotThough the fans want to see it and most of the series' stars want to do it, it doesn't look like the Arrested Development movie is going to be happening any time soon -- unless either actor Michael Cera or series creator Mitch Hurwitz changes their mind.
Arrested Development centers around the wealthy and dysfunctional Bluth family and features the talents of and features the talents of Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, John F. Beard, Mae Whitman, and Cera. The offbeat sitcom ran for three seasons on Fox. Though the sitcom never garnered big ratings, it does have a cult audience that's grown through DVD sales.
The possibility of a big screen version of Arrested has been rumored essentially since the TV show went off the air. The project began to sound like a

Mae Whitman plays an ex-girlfriend to a flower girl
added by newsBotDealing with exes is just something that comes along with dating. Depending on where you live and how serious your relationships were, it can be totally cool to see your ex out, or completely disastrous. Seeing your girlfriend's ex out, though, can be worse.
In the Bryan Lee O'Malley comic book series Scott Pilgrim, the protagonist (Scott, of course) must battle his crush, Ramona's, seven "evil exes" in order to date her. Ramona has been busy — her exes include a pro skater turned movie star, a pair of twins and her college roommate, Roxy Richter — the only girl among them.
The film version, starring Michael Cera as Scott, is in the works, and Mae Whitman has been cast as Roxy, the lesbian roommate/artist who apparently is a "half-ninja." You might recall seeing her alongside Cera before on Arrested Development when she played his girlfriend, Bland Ann.

It Will Be a While Before You See The Factory
added by newsBotDark Castle sure knows how to keep a fella waiting. Morgan O'Neill's thriller The Factory isn't hitting theaters until October 22, 2010. The film, starring John Cusack, has been in the can for some time now. Set in present-day Buffalo, Cusack plays a detective who discovers his daughter has been kidnapped. There's been a rash of missing girls in the city and the detective has to go to a very dark place to find his daughter. Dallas Roberts, Sonya Walger, Mae Whitman and Katherine Waterston co-star.
