Oliver James Platt 12 January 1960, Windsor, Ontario, Canada The son of a career diplomat, he spent his childhood in Washington DC, Asia, and the middle east. Oliver graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Drama in 1983 from Tufts University. He then trained at Shakespeare & Co. with Kristine Linklater.

Year One Goes Back in Time on DVD and Blu-ray on October 6th

The standard DVD, which will be released in both rated and unrated versions, will be priced at $28.96 Srp while the Bd disc will be priced at $39.95 Srp. Year One Banished to Blu-ray in September

Year One stumbled at the box office with a $42.4 million domestic gross and will look to make up some of its estimated $60 million budget on home video in a new unrated cut. The Blu-ray version of Year One will be presented in widescreen 1.85:1 1080p video and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio. Two of the bonus features will be Blu-ray exclusives. Photo: Columbia Pictures Year One seems to prove that occasionally there is an actual line between success and failure with no in-between, and this is a film that could have just as easily fallen onto the side of success as it did onto the side of failure. Make no mistake about it, Year One is an absolute dud of a film. This one is dead on arrival and hardly makes an attempt to resuscitate itself. While there are a couple of snicker-worthy moments, the majority of this film falls flat on its face. Directed and co-written by Harold Ramis, Year One carries a lot of heavy weight when it comes to comedic talent from the top down.
