[TV] Get an Ivy League Education on "The Wire"
added by newsBotAt a panel last Thursday night, Harvard professors were joined by the stars of HBO's cop drama The Wire in announcing the plan to introduce the milestone TV show as credited course next year at the Ivy League school, Harvard's paper The Crimson wrote.
A class on The Wire is not an all-new idea, as several other colleges will tell you, but they're usually writing/media classes. Harvard's The Wire course will be taught by William J. Wilson, a professor in sociology and African-American studies, who will use the series as a case study for poverty in America.
The goal of the meet was to discuss the show's potency in revealing the urban problems plaguing today's inner-city lives. During the sold-out panel, Wilson, a big fan of the show, gave it high praise:

Imho "Brothers & Sisters" (3.16 & 3.17): "Troubled Waters"
added by newsBotYour regular B&S recapper Steven Frank is on a well-deserved though suspiciously timed vacation, so I'm filling in this week. Wouldn't you know it, he saddled me with a friggin' two-hour episode. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I think he planned it. Curse you Steven!

Question: Is it true that the character of Anna Wu on Chuck is bisexual? ... I'm a sucker for bi women in sci-fi shows, so I'm wondering if this one should be on my radar.
— Sarah
Answer: Yes, Buy More employee Anna — played by Julia Ling — is bisexual, although it's understandable if you missed it: Anna's bisexuality has only been referenced once so far, in the first season when Anna quipped "speak for yourself!" to a comment from Morgan about none of them having sex with a beautiful woman. It's also referenced again in next week's episode.
