The Foywonder's Rambling Audio Review of Legion
added by newsBotIf you were one of the many people who saw Scott Stewart's Legion over the weekend (and there must have been a lot of you since the film came in second in the box office rankings with an estimated $18.2 million), then you'll no doubt be interested in the following message we received from The Foywonder:
"What you are about to hear is raw unedited audio of a recording I made in my automobile with a handheld voice recorder while driving home from the theater after taking in a late night showing of Legion. The quality of the audio is not perfect, nor was the state of my mind. The sound in my voice is a combination of elation and exasperation at the motion picture I had just witnessed. It is less a review than a 14-minute rambling rant as I try to fully take in the mind-blowing clusterfuck for the ages that was Legion. »

Legion Review
added by newsBot“Legion” begins in Los Angeles, where the angel Michael (Paul Bettany) literally falls from the sky and brings destruction with him. As the city falls into darkness (again: literally), he hits the road in search of Charlie (Adrienne Palicki), who, despite being an eight-months-pregnant non-virgin, is still the prophesied mother of humanity’s savior. The tiny desert diner where Charlie waitresses for owner Bob (Dennis Quaid) and his son Jeep (Lucas Black) serves as ground zero for the battle against agents of God in the form of “weak” possessed humans who function much like classic Romero zombies. With the diner surrounded and the patrons inside turning against one another, it’s up to Jeep and Michael to keep Charlie safe long enough for the second coming of Jesus to take his first baby breath…read more [FEARNet]

Review: Legion
added by newsBotThere are films that you go to see because you just know that it’s going to be great. There are films you go to see expecting greatness, and getting disappointment instead. Then there are those films you go see because you expect it to be so bad that it’s good. Everyone I’ve talked to has their “so bad it’s good” films. I know I do.
Going into Legion, I just knew that it was going to be awful. But it was one of those movies I just Had to see. When you go see movies with that mind set, one of two things can happen: 1) It’ll be great. Or 2) It’s just going to be so bad, it’s bad. I’m happy to report that Legion did not fall into category #2. While it didn’t quite make it into category 1, it was, never the less, »

'Legion' a Decent Piece of Mindless Entertainment
added by newsBot'Legion' a decent piece of mindless entertainment. Screen Gems has released their latest action-horror flick "Legion" in theaters (after a seemingly endless wait I might add). The film stars Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Tenney, Charles S. Dutton, Lucas Black, Kate Walsh, Doug Jones, Adrianne Palicki and Kevin Durand. Overall, it's received some medicore reviews from well known film critics across the world wide web. While some of them found the movie to be decent, others thought it was absolutely horrible. Many critics were denied a pre-screening for the film which is usually a bad sign.
E! Online gave it a decent grade of a B- which is identical to three and a half stars. They said the film was a decent piece of mindless entertainment. What did you guys think? Have you had the chance to see the film yet? »
