‘Black Eyed Peas’ Manager, Charged For Hitting Perez Hilton
added by newsBotMTV reports that the Toronto Police have charged the manager of the hit rap group "Black Eyed Peas" with assault on celebrity blogger Perez Hilton that occurred on Monday June 22,2009 early in the morning. The altercation happened outside of the Toronto Cobra nightclub. The Police said that Molina turned himself in on Monday afternoon. Molina is supposed to be back in court at Toronto's Old City Hall courthouse on August 5,2009 to answer the assault charge. He could reportedly face a maximum of five years in prison if prosecutors choose to charge him with an "indictable offense" or up to 18 months if he is charged with a "summary offense".

Perez Hilton's New Comment on Late-Night Scuffle

Following an argument with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas Sunday night at a Toronto nightclub, Hilton alleges that Peas manager Liborio "Polo" Molina punched him repeatedly outside the club. Hilton, who is openly gay, admitted in a video blog posted Monday that he had called will.i.am by an anti-gay slur. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation released a statement on Monday afternoon condemning his use of the slur, to which Perez responded by saying that GLAAD had "victimized him further by criticizing [him] for how [he] non-violently dealt with a very scary situation that, unfortunately, turned violent." Perez Hilton Should 'Reflect' On His Use Of Anti-Gay Slur, GLAAD Says

On Tuesday, Perez Hilton took to his Web site to issue a new statement about his war of words with Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am. In the statement, he called his use of an anti-gay slur "misguided" but defended his right to employ such language if he feels threatened.
On Wednesday (June 24), GLAAD released a statement in response to Perez's apology, noting that violence is wrong, as is Perez "justifying the use of the slurs."
