New Angels & Demons trailer
added by newsBotWe have a new trailer for Ron Howard’s Angels & Demons, and it looks quite good. The trailer is just an extra long version of the Super Bowl TV spot we got a week or two ago. It looks a lot better than The Da Vinci Code. Directed by Ron Howard, with Tom Hanks, Ayelet Zurer, [...]

Anger the Pope: Watch the Brand New 'Angels & Demons' Trailer
added by newsBotIt seemed a little out of place as a Super Bowl commercial, and maybe that's why it felt a little underwhelming. Now we've got a full-length trailer for Angels & Demons, and it appears to have plenty more action than the first one.
Tom Hanks returns as Robert Langdon and Ron Howard is back to direct. That would be enough for a lot of people, since The Da Vinci Code made about $750 million worldwide. If this one is at least as good as Da Vinci, it should be in that same ballpark. However, everyone I know who has read both books swears this is the pick of the litter, so if the movie follows suit, maybe it'll make even more.

'Angels & Demons' Gets a Proper Trailer
added by newsBotI'm not exactly sure what notes Ron Howard received from the studio following his adaptation of The Da Vinci Code, but I imagine it went something like, "More dead, bloody people hanging in churches!" Indeed, this time around -- for his adaptation of the Da Vinci prequel, Angels & Demons -- there appears to be a lot more ... creepiness. The first couple of teasers and TV spots did nothing to excite the summer movie watcher in me, but I have to say they did a bang-up job with this full-length trailer (watch it below, or in HD over at MSN).
Tom Hanks reprises his role as Dr. Robert Langdon, and he's once again summoned to Rome where he'll need to solve a few puzzles, run around with a beautiful woman and talk a lot about The Illuminati -- all while risking his life, but not dying (because we already know he

Angels/Demons trailer
added by newsBotI like Tom Hanks. I like Ron Howard and Ewan McGregor. I also like mystery thrillers. So you'd think I'd be a little more excited about Angels & Demons. But I'm not. And this new trailer for the film is evidence of why. There were some pretty glaring problems with The Da Vinci Code but because of the phenomenon that surrounded the book, it still did pretty big business. Now Ron and company could've used the time since that movie came out to fine tune what they wanted to do with the...

Angels And Demons Trailer Will be Online Tomorrow -- Until then, watch a video featurette on the Illuminati and the Superbowl spot
added by newsBotSony has just announced the trailer for “Angels & Demons” will be released tomorrow. While some may wonder why Sony made another movie featuring Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon after the terrible reviews for “The Da Vinci Code”, I think the $750 million dollars the film made at the worldwide box office probably had something to do with it. The fact is, the books are beyond popular and if I were the studio, I’d do the exact same thing. When I recently interviewed director Ron Howard, he told me this film takes more liberties with the story than “The Da Vinci Code” did. Let’s all cross our fingers. Anyway, while we wait till tomorrow’s trailer, I’ve been given a video featurette on the Illuminati and it’s below, along with the Superbowl commercial (in case you missed it). If you haven’t read the book, the Illuminati are the villains.

Weekend Report: Lush 'Hangover,' 'Up' Linger Over Typical 'Taking'
added by newsBotThe good times continued to roll for The Hangover and Up, though not so much for the new movies and the box office as a whole. Hangover kept its buzz going with $32.8 million, while Up maintained its slow descent with $30.8 million. While those pictures were bustling, overall business was down 24 percent from the same weekend last year and had the lowest attendance for the timeframe in over a decade. Imbibing an exceptional $104.8 million in ten days, The Hangover saw the smallest dip among nationwide releases, down 27 percent. The ribald comedy held better than Knocked Up at the same point, but not quite as well as Wedding Crashers. Regardless of the percentage drops, though, it's grossed significantly more than those pictures at the ten-day mark, even when adjusted for ticket price inflation, and has flown way above genre norms. Up eased 30 percent and its tally climbed to $187.4 million in 17 days, the
