Rotten Tomatoes, on the other hand, shows a 39% rating, with the following concensus: Roland Emmerich's 2012 provides plenty of visual thrills, but lacks a strong enough script to support its massive scope and inflated length.

"2012" opened roughly similar to Emmerich's personal best debut with "The Day After Tomorrow," which rung up $68.7 million over the first three days of 2004's four-day Memorial Day weekend en route to registering $186.7 million in total domestic boxoffice. The helmer's last pic -- 2008's "10,000 B.C." -- bowed with $35.9 million and grossed $94.8 million overall domestically.

The 'Law Abiding Citizen' actor's co-star Jamie Foxx took great pleasure in mocking the Scottish hunk as he struggled to stay in shape ahead of filming a nude scene for the movie. Jamie said: ''He was followed around by a trainer for most of the film. And his main job was to stop him from eating cupcakes. I understand; he had to do his whole thing for the ladies, which is great. But that nude scene is when we men go to the concession stand.'' Jamie loved getting the chance to work with Gerard .. »

50 Cent has been in full promo mode the past few weeks, pushing his album Before I Self Destruct. He did take some time off this past weekend, visiting the Las Vegas mansion of his friend Floyd "Money" Mayweather. Fif brought along Tia Kemp and her children, one of whom is the young son of 50 rival Rick Ross.
In footage that was released this week on ThisIs50.com, Fif is seen in the house taking pictures with Mayweather, and even Diddy pops up in the mix. Later, we see 50 and Floyd chop it up at a kitchen table with "Law Abiding Citizen" director F. Gary Gray.

Later, the boxing champ can't resist pulling out $100,000 in bills. »
