Film: Review: Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian
added by newsBotOne justification for the heap of cultural garbage that was the first Night At The Museum is that it got kids interested in museums; after the film’s release, the Museum Of Natural History in New York enjoyed a 20 percent spike in visitors. What the numbers don’t measure is how bored the children were upon discovering that the statues and exhibits just sit there inertly, duping kids into learning things. No doubt the Smithsonian will experience the same surge of interest—and subsequent foot-dragging boredom—in the wake of Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian, which ...

Rickey Gervais Embarrasses Ben Stiller
added by newsBotYou'd think even a comedian would have the decorum to dress appropriately for a tour of the White House. Not so, in the case of British actor Rickey Gervais (The Office). When filming Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Gervais and the film's star, Ben Stiller, were invited on the tour at the last minute. Apparently, Gervais had already sent his business attire out to be laundered, so he showed up for the historic meeting in his pajamas.
Stiller was not amused. In a recent interview, Stiller said:
They told us to dress business. I wore a suit and tie. And Ricky Gervais, British Ricky Gervais, shows up in a black t-shirt and draw string yoga pants. It's very beyond casual, like ready to meditate or something. And then he's running around like, "Oh, this is where our American president lives! Where's the dog?" The clip starts with Bonaparte and his army seizing Daley. Stepping in with a dagger in his hand, the

Stiller: 'Gervais better than nothing'
added by newsBotBen Stiller has joked that working with Ricky Gervais on Night At The Museum was "much better" than working with nothing. Speaking at the sequel's UK press conference, the actor recounted how "excited" he had been when Gervais first turned up on the set to film. "It had been weeks and weeks of acting with nothing - running away from a dinosaur, but no dinosaur, and then running away from Attila The Hun, and nothing, no people to interact with, and then Ricky showed up," he explained. His comments prompted Gervais to remark, "So, I was better than nothing?" to which Stiller replied: "Much better than nothing - it was almost too much! Ricky Gervais showing

Stiller: ''Night At The Museum 3' a possibility'
added by newsBotBen Stiller has admitted that a third instalment in the Night At The Museum franchise is a possibility. Speaking at a UK press conference for Night At The Museum 2, the actor told reporters that he would be happy to reprise the role of Larry Daley if audiences wanted him too. "For the second one we had to figure out a reason why that movie would actually happen, and I feel like we figured that out.
