Review: Management
added by newsBotManagement is noteworthy because it offers Steve Zahn the starring vehicle he’s deserved since breaking into the business. As Mike, the film’s regular Joe protagonist, the actor perfects the particular sort of empathetic vulnerability he’s projected in films as different as Saving Silverman and Rescue Dawn. There may be no one currently working in Hollywood who better conveys a lovable shaggy dog image, inspiring sympathy rather than ridicule with his social blunders and earnest displays of emotion. Otherwise, Stephen Belber’s feature filmmaking debut descends down the black hole of cuteness at the core of the journey of self-discovery that provides its narrative. It relies too heavily on precious comic convolutions and life platitudes to put forth the singularly unconvincing romance between Mike and Sue Claussen (Jennifer Aniston). The pair first meets at a small motel in Kingman, Arizona. Mike’s the hotel handyman and the son of its owners (Fred Ward and Margo

Hemsworth, Zahn & Jovovich Want A Perfect Getaway
added by newsBotI always look forward to the end of the summer movie season. You can be sure to find at least one or two decent movies to watch in August that will entertain without suffering from all the hype leading up to their release. GI Joe, while I’m really excited to watch it, opens in August and if Screen Rant chatter is any indication, will most likely suffer from the hype and be judged very harshly.
If you want to find a movie worth watching you sometimes have to go off the beaten path; in this case, Hawaii. I think David Twohy’s A Perfect Getaway, which he wrote and directed, may be the sleeper hit of the summer and, if the film is as entertaining as the trailer, should be a great way to end the big movie season as well.
A Perfect Getaway appears to have everything I

Weekly Poll Results: Best Jack Black Movie
added by newsBotJack Black has always been known for his musical side and rocker persona, so it's appropriate to see The School of Rock and High Fidelity voted up as his two strongest films to date. That said, I'm a bit surprised that Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny was ranked as high as it was, considering that it was pretty poorly received (I still haven't seen it). The remaining titles in the top 5, as voted by the readers of Film Junk, are Tropic Thunder and Be Kind Rewind. Does that sound right to you? By the way, I didn't realize Saving Silverman had quite so many fans. Would it have actually have made the top 5 if it had been included? I wonder... 1. The School of Rock -- 25.6% 2. High Fidelity -- 20.4% 3. Tropic Thunder -- 9.5% 4. Be Kind Rewind -- 8.8% 4. Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny -- 8.8% 6. Kung Fu Panda -- 8.3% 7. Nacho Libre
