Faran Tahir Talks Iron Man 3 and Star Trek
added by newsBotEarlier in the year, Iron Man actor Faran Tahir mentioned the possibility of a return as Iron Man's nemesis Mandarin in Iron Man 3 ... or at least as a "conduit" to Mandarin. Tahir told Moviefone that no decision has been made yet, but the possibility is there.
Jon Favreau and [the producers] are not stupid. They're also listening in on all of this and wanting to get the pulse of where the audience is. But at some point, they want to introduce Mandarin into the storyline and my character, like Mandarin, was the leader of the Ten Rings. We're leaving it open because, partly, it makes good business sense for us to leave a little bit of uncertainty for people to speculate on.
Tahir says Favreau has known "where he wants to take" Iron Man 3 "for a long time," and that there will be "linkage somewhere in [Iron Man 2" that will set up a third movie.

Rumor Mill: Nestor Carbonell Favorite for Khan

Abrams' Star Trek reboot onto DVD and Blu-ray, and with that increased interest in the property this week I feel like I should report on every little piece of rumor I happen to hear. Let me start by saying, nay, yelling just one word to all you Trekkers out there... Khaaaaaaan!! Let it be known that this all kinds of just a rumor. There's no script yet and there's certainly no casting, but if the most famous Star Trek villain is to see a reincarnation in the updated franchise, Comingsoon.net is hearing that they've already got a favorite picked out for the role. And it's none other than that slippery foe Richard from Lost, Nestor Carbonell, or as I lovingly refer to him, Eyeliner Guy. Zoe Saldana Dishes on Star Trek 2 and Avatar
added by newsBotStar Trek was just released on DVD and Blu-ray on November 17 and to celebrate Paramount held a gala DVD release party bash at the historic Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. Among the plethora of celebrities and Star Trek stars were Zoe Saldana, who plays Uhura in the film, and she spoke to us about where she would like to see her character go in Star Trek 2, especially with the unique relationship between her, Spock and Kirk.
"Yeah, it's quite a love triangle," Saldana said. "I'm not really sure where that relationship will go in the sequel, but it will be fun to explore."
Saldana also spoke out about getting into some more of the action pieces in the sequel as well.
"It would be a lot of fun to have more of the physical element to the character in the new film. I'd love to se her kick some butt. »
