Danny Trejo Joining 'Predators' Is The Best News You'll Hear All Day
added by newsBotSo the word on the street is that Danny Trejo, frequent Robert Rodriguez collaborator and star of the upcoming "Grindhouse"-inspired "Machete," is heading to another Rodriguez-produced project — none other than mother-loving "Predators."
Punch Drunk Critics caught up with the actor over the weekend at HorrorFind Weekend, where Trejo claimed that "we" start shooting "Predators" in about a month — the "we" presumably meaning himself, Rodriguez, director Nimrod Antal and whoever else is still unmentioned for roles in the film.
Needless to say, this is absolutely awesome. Trejo could be a fantastic spiritual successor to "Predator"'s Billy (Sonny Landham), a more-than-adequate replacement to Jesse Ventura's gruff-and-tough Blain and — dare I say it — a leading man with a presence to rival even Arnold Schwarzenegger's Dutch. Indeed, Trejo joining the "Predator" franchise is easily one of the greatest bits of movie news I've heard in recent months.

Confirming Terminator Salvation Director's Cut Run Time on Blu-ray
added by newsBotWarner Brothers' announcement for Terminator Salvation on Blu-ray suggested the only way to see the much desired director's cut would be in high definition and, per Warner's own press website, the run time would be 135 minutes. Prior to the announcement, director McG had sounded off in interviews claiming the home video release would include 30-40 minutes of footage not seen in theaters. The 135 minute run time, while 10 minutes short of the claim, seemed to fall in line with the director's intent. Though Warner has the ultimate say on what will appear on the discs, McG seemed confident in his remarks. He shouldn't have. The rear cover art for Terminator Salvation on Blu-ray has been released definitively confirming that the R-rated director's cut will not run 135 minutes but 117, a mere 3 minutes longer than the 114 minute theatrical cut. It will be R-rated for "some violence and brief nudity" but will include »

‘Terminator 2′ gets a 3D treatment
added by newsBotClearly James Cameron has caught the 3D bug. On the heels of news that Cameron’s 1997 Oscar-winning love story, Titanic, will be given the 3D treatment, we know that audiences may see another favorite from the past in the third dimension: Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
According to Lightstorm Entertainment, Cameron’s production company, a testing phase has already been completed on the film. “We are certainly interested in exploring the opportunity to re-release some of Lightstorm’s past films in 3D,” Lightstorm partner Jon Landau said. “I don’t think it’s too far into the future. We’re pretty far down the road.”
Terminator 2 revolved around a boy and his mother, along with the boy’s robot best friend as they travel around trying to save the future from an attack by a rogue computer. It’s a lot cooler than it sounds…
The film starred Arnold Schwarzenegger who »

New Set Photos & Videos From ‘The Fighter’
added by newsBotThree weeks ago, video blogs and pictures from the set of David O Russell’s The Fighter were posted by a user called “The Fighter” on IAmRogue. The only problem was that nobody knew about their existence, so you might not have heard anything about it. Until now, that is.
If you remember a couple of months ago, a photo was released showing an emaciated Christian Bale walking around on set. Now, for those interested, you have a veritable treasure trove of photos and videos for your perusing.
Check them out:
The Fighter centers around professional boxer Micky Ward (Wahlberg) in a real life Rocky-like story. With the help of his half-brother, Dickie Edlund (Bale), whom is a former boxer-turned-trainer and recovering drug addicted goes on to battle Arturo Gotti in three separate fights, two of which have been called the greatest matches in the history of the sport.

DVD Review Capsule: 30 Rock - The Complete Third Season
added by newsBot30 Rock - The Complete Third Season Quick Thoughts: Insanely quotable and one of my favorite sitcoms of all-time. Right up there with the BBC's "Office," "Seinfeld" and "Arrested Development," "30 Rock" has a talented team of writers and the perfect cast to bring their words to life. From Will Arnett starting off the season as Devon Banks, selling the "E" in Ge to Samsung and now saying they're going by Samesung to Salma Hayek sporting a "What the Frak?" t-shirt, this show hits your funny bone in areas you just don't expect. I was a little down on the second season of the show as it shifted its attention far more into the direction of Alec Baldwin and less on Tracey Morgan, but the third season has found a solid balance between all of its characters, although I thought the season finale was one of those "jump the shark" moments as »

Check out the poster from The Rock’s next comedy: ‘Tooth Fairy’
added by newsBotHere’s our first look at the poster for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s upcoming family comedy Tooth Fairy.
The Rock, after getting into a scuffle and doing man stuff, gets sentenced to one week as a real tooth fairy. A real tooth fairy, not some fake-ass one.
Directed by Michael Lembeck (The Santa Clause), the film arrives in theaters on January 22nd.
Having an action hero playing the part of a tooth fairy has been a project beloved by studio heads since Arnold Schwarzenegger was supposed to suit up as a winged-freak after Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
He instead chose Last Action Hero in 1993.
Tooth Fairy is the next entry in a long line of films which find hulks dressed like fools for the utter enjoyment of mouth-breathing fans since…well…Hulk Hogan.
