Dave’s 2009 Fail List
added by newsBotFail: Pronunciation: \ˈfāl\ - to lose - to fall short - to be inadequate - to disappoint expectations Seeing that I didn't view every film release of 2009 I couldn't bring myself to title this "The Worst of 2009" because something tells me that I missed a healthy helping of the worst films released. I do however want to share my biggest disappointments and also include the ones that fell short of producing the product they we're trying to sell me. So without further ado, enjoy or disagree with my list below and feel free to leave your comments. No claims are made or responsibilities assumed for the offense taken by the reader that will surely follow. ;) Public Enemies »

The Fourth Kind Hitting Home Video in March
added by newsBotDid you miss The Fourth Kind in theatres? Too bad. Yes, it was kind of hokey and, if believed, totally proves the existence of aliens, but it was damned fun.
If you missed all the spooky, you'll be able to check it out on DVD and Blu-ray on March 16th, 2010. Thanks to Joey Monda and Video Eta for the tip-off.
Synopsis
In 1972 a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. This encounter has been the most difficult to document...until now.
Structured unlike any film before it, The Fourth Kind is a provocative thriller set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where — mysteriously since »
