Sandra Bullock's private embarrassment
added by newsBotSandra Bullock flashed her private parts on the set of her last film. The actress had to bare all in 'The Proposal' and although she had something to protect her modesty she ended up showing more of her body to the cast and crew than she meant to. She said: "Shooting the scene was odd. I realised there was no way to shoot it without being butt naked. But there are things stuck to you where you generally don't have things stuck. Then you'd get unstuck, but not care because you're so tired. The director Anne Fletcher was like, 'Your vagina is hanging out. Cover it up.' And I'd go, 'Sorry, sorry.' The Blind Side Movie Review
added by newsBotSandra Bullock is batting 2 for 3 in 2009, not a bad average for the actress/producer whose career now spans 20+ years. The Proposal proved Bullock's still adorable to watch in a romantic comedy. All About Steve showed the veteran actress isn't immune to selecting lousy projects to star in. Thankfully, with The Blind Side we can forget All About Steve, put the past behind us, and enjoy what Bullock is able to pull off as a blonde in a more dramatic turn.
Director John Lee Hancock is familiar with inspirational sports stories having helmed 2002's The Rookie, a baseball drama starring Dennis Quaid as a coach who gets a shot at the big leagues late in life. Like The Rookie, The Blind Side is a sweet story about not giving up and triumphing over adversity.

The Blind Side
added by newsBotThe Blind Side
Directed by: John Lee Hancock
Cast: Sandra Bullock, Quinton Aaron, Tim McGraw, Kathy Bates
Running Time: 2 hr 6 mins
Rating: PG-13
Release Date: November 20, 2009
Plot: Based on Michael Lewis’ book, “The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game,” this is the true story about an extra-large, struggling teenager (Aaron) taken in by a do-gooder (Bullock) who hopes to turn his life around.
Who’S It For? It’s not a sports movie. It’s not a football movie. This is a family drama about the difficulties in raising children and helping those less fortunate. Football plays a role eventually, but not as much as everything else.
Expectations: For me, the preview looked like it was a good story about a young man who didn’t fit in, and Bullock threw herself into the mix. It did not look promising, almost like I couldn’t enjoy this without worshiping her new Southern accent. »

Review: ‘The Blind Side’ isn’t your typical football movie: it’s better
added by newsBotSports movies usually offer a shocking amount of heavy-handed melodrama designed to stir emotional responses from viewers. A lot of them, especially films that play out on the gridiron, are based on true stories, which are then pumped-full of social issues, either race or class, that can be extremely manipulative towards its viewers. While some of this is true in The Blind Side, the latest from director John Lee Hancock (The Rookie, The Alamo), the film excels in where it differs from the norm. Instead of using the true story of Baltimore Ravens left tackle Michael Oher to steal easy tears from the audience (there are many scenes where this could have happened), The Blind Side masterfully takes viewers on a character journey and avoids all of the many, many trappings found in this drama.
The Blind Side is based on the dual-storied novel by Michael Lewis who examines not »

Review: The Blind Side
added by newsBotSandra Bullock hasn't had the most consistent track record in recent years. For every Infamous, she's got an All About Steve and The Proposal. It's frustrating, because she has it in her to be an impressive actress. Thankfully, she did The Blind Side with John Lee Hancock to even out the balance.
This "football is salvation" film opens with an explanation of football with a voiceover by Bullock. It seems like a gimmick, but it actually sets up the story well, and underscores Bullock's portrayal of the real-life woman, Leigh Anne Touhy. It's a case of the truth being stranger than fiction; few would accept this story if it weren't based on the real-life story of NFL player Michael Oher, as adapted from Michael Lewis's book, The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game.

Sandra Bullock: 'Nude scene was odd'
added by newsBotSandra Bullock has revealed that she found it odd to shoot her naked scenes in The Proposal. The actress also told Stylist that the movie was not a "romantic comedy" but instead "a motion picture" reminiscent of "films from the '30s and '40s". Bullock sad: "Sadly, my first and last nude scene got laughs. I had to be very secure with that. "When I read it on the page, I realised, 'Okay, there's no way to shoot this unless you're buck naked', so I decided to go to the »

It's Not Too Late to Put Sandra Bullock in Three More Movies This Year
added by newsBotWhen Sandra Bullock had the biggest hit of her career this summer with The Proposal, I believe we all thought, "Way to go, Sandy! Get that cheddar." (That is verbatim.) Then, what was meant to become Bullock's comeback year was sorely tested by the release of All About Steve, a comedy that almost broke Rotten Tomatoes, and before we've had any time to recover from that debacle, here comes Bullock again with this week's release of the inspirational sports drama The Blind Side. Is America ready for all-Bullock, all the time?
Here at Movieline, we say yes! In fact, if Bullock truly wants to dominate the year 2009, she'll need to insert herself into three more movies this holiday season. Fortunately for her, I'm here to offer a helpful, Photoshopping hand. »
