I think its both safe and fair to say this: Not one more movie ever needs to be made. Ever. Again. We've used up our fresh water well. We've gone to the depths and come back with the bends. Since its inception as an art form, each proceeding decade has been known for reinventing cinema on some evolutionary level. Then we hit the 80s, which was our last bastion of hope for imaginative storytelling. The 90s came on like a long slow drip of boring ineptitude. Or biggest hits were so-called duck press endeavors that managed to regurgitate everything that came before them. While Forrest Gump helped utilize and establish never before seen special effects, it was nothing more than a collage of past decades as reflected through the artistry of film. Two More Join Denzel's Unstoppable
added by newsBotAfter those earlier budgetary snafus, it seems that Tony Scott’s Unstoppable is now hurtling inexorably towards its start date, like a shinkanzen with no brakes.Two more actors have joined the cast of the runaway train movie, with Jessy Schram and the under-rated Kevin Dunn bolstering the big-name trio already on board. That would be Denzel Washington, Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson, in case you didn’t know.Washington and Pine will play an engineer and conductor, respectively, who must band together to stop their train, laden with toxic chemicals, from crashing into a nearby city. That would be Bad.Dawson signed on this week to play a train dispatcher, a la Washington in The Taking Of Pelham 123, who helps the boys out via radio. Dunn, who was one of the few moving parts it was enjoyable to watch in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, will play Dawson’s boss. »

'Harry Potter' retains box office lead

The sixth instalment in the wizard series pulls in £2.9 million to beat new releases G-Force and The Taking Of Pelham 123 to the chart summit. Half-Blood Prince has now taken more than £40 million since its UK release last month. The Proposal and Ice Age 3 complete the top five, while Will Ferrell's Land Of The Lost bows at a disappointing six. Washington returns to 'Unstoppable'

The actor pulled out of the project earlier this month, reportedly because he refused to lower his $$20 million pay to help reduce the movie's budget. "Alien" Prequel Confirmed and Carl Rinsch to Direct !
added by newsBotRumors were coming out of horror site Bloody-Disgusting that 20th Century Fox was interested in relaunching the "Alien" franchise with some sort of reboot or remake, following the recent news that Robert Rodriguez would be doing the same thing for 20th Century Fox's other sci-fi creature franchise, "Predator". While there was no confirmation from the Fox camp or the trades, Collider's roving reporter "Frosty" cornered director Tony Scott at the press conference for his own remake of "The Taking Of Pelham 1 2 3" to get confirmation and learned that Scott-Free Productions is indeed producing a remake with director Carl Rinsch helming.
