Long-running TV series, "American Gladiators", is getting a big screen treatment. Variety reported that
former Legendary Pictures chief marketing officer Scott Mednick is developing an idea based on the hit television show about a cast of amateur athletes who go up against each other in a competition of strength and agility.
It was further noted that producers are looking forward to "create an action story that takes place inside the world" that series creator Johnny Ferraro has developed for the show. Mednick, in addition, promised that the film version will introduce new characters. "I look forward to creating a compelling story that launches a whole new set of characters," so he claimed.
