Kevin McKidd Talks Call of Duty and Rome Movies
added by newsBotKevin McKidd deserves to be a bigger star than he is. The Rome and Journeyman star has been on Grey's Anatomy for the past year or so, but even that's not enough to get me watching Grey's again. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players will know him as the voice of Captain "Soap" MacTavish, and it's that hook into the franchise that makes us pause a bit when he starts talking about a Call of Duty film. We've known for a while that a CoD movie is coming eventually, but McKidd's recent comments to PopWrap hint that perhaps it may be coming along sooner, rather than later: 'They were looking for a rough, Scottish actor in Hollywood they probably couldn't get Gerard Butler, so they got the No. 2 Gerard Butler, me. I had no idea it would be so huge, and now there are talks of a feature film,' »

Dancing at the Film Experience
added by newsBotGlenn from Stale Popcorn here to throw in two cents worth of discussion about the year 2001 per Nathaniel's request.
Last week for the year 2000 I discussed a favourite from that year that I felt had been criminally underrated. At least a lot of people have seen that movie for it to be underrated. The 2001 film that I want to shine a light on has been seen by about three people (and a goat).
If you had to ask me what profession has gotten the worst representation in the history of cinema I would probably point to stripping. Oh sure, we all love Showgirls but when paired up with Demi Moore's Striptease, the profession has never quite been the same. Throw in the absurd I Know Who Killed Me starring the ghost of Lindsay Lohan's career, the "all star" Spun and even the dead-boring (if you can believe it »

Grey's Anatomy Love Triangle: "The Characters Can't Be Happy All the Time"
added by newsBotHere's the bad news: Kim Raver's Teddy Altman is definitely a complication for Grey's Anatomy's most beloved twosome of the moment: Kevin McKidd's Owen Hunt and Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang. As Kevin McKidd correctly pointed out when we spoke earlier this week, "For a TV show to work, the characters can't be happy all the time." (Bah humbug!) Now, here's the good news: McKidd and costar Oh are both total Crowen shippers who want to see their characters together as much or more than we do. McKidd testifies, "I want the best for him. I want him to be happy. I want him to be in love. I want him to be all these things, and so does Sandra [for her character]." And you've got to... »

Eric Dane joins 'Burlesque' musical
added by newsBotI thought they were done casting Steve Antin's upcoming musical "Burlesque," but I guess I was wrong. The latest to join the party is Eric Dane, the Dr. Mark Sloan dude from "Grey's Anatomy."
Is that a bad thing? You tell me, because I never really watched that show. Anyway, Dane joins a cast including Christina Aguilera, Cher, Kristen Bell, Cam Gigandet, Alan Cumming and Stanley Tucci.
Aguilera plays a small-town girl who finds love and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club. The Hollywood Reporter says Dane plays a businessman planning to buy the club. He also falls for Aguilera. »
