For today's Daily TwitPic I needed to consult an expert. My taste in entertainment ranges all over the map. I love "The Simpsons" and "The Wire." "Survivor" is a weekly stop-in for me (Amazing this season), as is "Fringe." "Star Wars" is my crack. But with all of those varied interests, I've never found the time to bring "Dr. Who" into my life, the longest-running sci-fi TV series in the world.
Luckily, MTV Splash Page editor Rick Marshall is a Whovian, the "Who" equivalent of a Trekkie (or is it Trekker?). So when I set eyes on today's TwitPic, Rick was the man I turned to for help. The salt shaker-looking thing pictured with James Moran ("Girl Number 9" writer/director) is called a Dalek. It is Not a robot. It is in fact a member of a brutal alien race which Rick likened to outer space Nazis. Still looks »
