Those posters went on to sell a record 12 million copies and her image is no doubt seared in the retinas of several generations of men, even though she was only on the show for one season. Fetishized as she was for her feathered, bottle-blonde locks, Fawcett took her profession seriously, earning three Emmy nominations — in 1984 for The Burning Bed, in 1989 for Small Sacrificies, and in 2001 for The Guardian.
