Actress Molly Ringwald has exclusively confirmed to People that she is pregnant with twins, a baby boy and a baby girl. The baby boy will be her first son with husband Panio Gianopoulos, whereas the baby girl will be their second daughter.
Molly is due to give birth to the twins in August. No other details have been disclosed though.
Molly Ringwald, best known for her portrayal as Samantha Baker in the 1984 movie "Sixteen Candles," was married to Panio Gianopoulos, a writer and book editor, in 2007. She is 7 years older than him. Their elder daughter, named Mathilda Ereni, was born in October 2003.
Concerning her acting career, Molly currently stars in ABC Family's "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." The drama series focuses its story on the relationships between families and friends as they are dealing with the unexpected pregnancy of character Amy Juergens, portrayed by actress Shailene Woodley.
