Wolverine fight scenes were 'ridiculous' says screenwriter: Do you agree?
added by newsBotOne of the criticisms of X-Men Origins: Wolverine by hardcore fans was its family-friendly rating (12A in the UK and PG-13 in the USA) and lack of gory, brutal violence.
Wolverine indulges in far more visceral fight scenes in the comic books, driven by a 'berserker rage' anger that consumes him with a no-holds-barred fury. While we got glimpses of rage in all the X-Men movies, it's been toned down for the big screen.
Many fans online have said the tie-in video game (see images above and below) was grittier, edgier and a better representation of the original character.
And now a former X-Men writer has chimed in with his views on Wolverine, and also on how ratings and content affected Watchmen and Elektra.
