Expected to make in the area of $30 million, the 3D picture that thought it could has come in at just under $13 million. Now, since it has been heralded as a "concert experience," I'm not sure if it really qualifies as a movie... but hearing about this sad, un-Miley-like box office implosion, I started wondering: What happened to movies with teen themes? Can't Hardly Wait... She's All That... Boys and Girls. The American Pie franchise has been relegated to DVD reprisal, and last I heard, 10 Things I Hate About You is now in development to become a TV series... which seems weird. Well, here's what I think happened to movies primarily featuring teen storylines: they sucked. Oh, that might seem like a harsh conclusion -- I watched and loved them all,

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Accepts Inception
added by newsBotBrick star Joseph Gordon-Levitt will join Leonardo DiCaprio and Oscar winner Marion Cotillard for Christopher Nolan's contemporary sci-fi action-thriller Inception.The character, originally due to be played by James Franco who dropped out due to scheduling issues, is an associate of DiCaprio's CEO, although little else is known about the film written by Nolan, apart from that it is set within "the architecture of the mind."The Third Rock From The Sun actor has a busy 2009 with Sundance-storming rom-com 500 Days of Summer due soon, and his bad-guy Cobra Commander role in blockbuster G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra opening in early August.Other members of the starry cast include Cotillard, who will play DiCaprio's wife, Juno progeny Ellen Page who will be his grad student sidekick, as well as Batman Begins' Cillian Murphy. Inception begins shooting this summer, and is scheduled for a 2010 release.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Joins Nolan's 'Inception'
added by newsBotAre you surprised that Joseph Gordon-Levitt escaped Third Rock from the Sun with his subtlety in tact? I mean between French Stewart and John Lithgow, that's a whole lotta queso. I think Lithgow even won the Emmy for Most Acting in a Comedy Series in 2000.
But Gordon-Levitt has become a great young character actor, and if he was a bigger guy, he'd be in the talks for all these superhero movies launching right about now. Watch Brick and The Lookout, skip (as nearly everyone did) Killshot, and wait with bated breath for 500 Days of Summer, in which he's terrific.
Christopher Nolan likes what he's seen out of Gordon-Levitt, adding him to join the growing cast of his Batman spacer, Inception, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Leonardo DiCaprio was the first name attached to the film, and in the weeks since, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, and Ellen Page have been signed.
