Beauty and the Geek: Season Six of TV Show to be ''Celebrity Edition''

James Gunn Bows to Scream Queens
added by newsBotVH1, the reigning king of reality TV, is gearing up to launch its newest unscripted monster, Scream Queens. Premiering Monday, October 20 at 10 p.m., the series spotlights 10 unknown actresses who will cry, fight and seduce their way through challenges to prove they have the right stuff to be an iconic horror babe, all while shredding their vocal cords doing it.
Reality television and horror aren’t quite the strange bedfellows they might initially seem. Initially created with the (questionably) best intentions, offering potentially meaningful observations of human behavior, non-fiction TV has disintegrated into absurd, obviously manipulated showcases for wannabe actors and has-been stars performing badly—and VH1 has risen to the top of this dubious food chain with such extravagantly trashy shows as The Surreal Life, Flavor Of Love and Rock Of Love. And while our favorite genre can produce worthy, extremely high-quality films, it has also spawned pure, exploitative—and fun—schlock.

Beauty and the Geek: Episode 5.3 "It's Game Time" Recap
added by newsBotBeauty and the Geek Bowl" />Previously on Beauty and the Geek, the geeks dominated the beauties in the first ever Beauty and the Geek talent show. When faced with their first elimination, some of the beauties chose to flirt instead of study. Amber failed to answer any questions in the elimination, so she was sent home. Tonight, the social experiment will continue to evolve.
Tonight's Beauty and the Geek begins immediately after last week's elimination. Tommy hopes that Amber is coming back. Each of the other girls walks into the room, one-by-one, and poor Tommy has a stricken look on his face because Amber is not among them. Not to be deterred, Tommy insists that as soon as the show is over, he's going to continue his budding relationship with Amber because, by golly, he wants to date a supermodel, gosh darnit!
It's time to find out this week's challenge.

Rock of Love 2: Episode 9 "Going to Ex-Tremes" Recap
added by newsBotPreviously on Rock of Love 2: Bret Michaels gave Kristy Joe the choice to either stay or go. She left, so by default, Megan got to stay.
Big John and Bret let the girls know that it's time for the annual arrival of the exes. Destiney's ex-husband Adam arrives in a stupid beret and some white pull-over sweater thing. He looks like a cross between a preppie and a gangsta wannabe. Jessica's ex-boyfriend, Casey, is rocking the casual look. She claims he treated her like crap. Megan's sort of ex-boyfriend, Josh, actually had another girlfriend the whole time Megan tried to get with him. Apparently Bret couldn't convince Ambre's exes to show up, so she gets her best friend Adam. Daisy is not happy with her ex, Charles. He's sporting a wife beater and looks like Tommy Lee on steroids.
To make things fair, Bret has also invited one of his exes,

Beauty and the Geek 5: What's the Deal with Amber?
added by newsBotAmber" />On Tuesday night, Amber became the first beauty to be eliminated from season 5 of Beauty and the Geek. Contrary to the premise of the show, she left the mansion completely unchanged. She didn't learn a thing during her time on Beauty and the Geek (her words, not mine). I wanted to get an interview with her after her elimination, but unfortunately, Amber was unavailable for comment. Frankly, I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to talking to her, if for nothing else than to ask her what really sparked that huge fight she had with fellow beauty Randi.
Who is Amber? What's going on inside her head? This being the Age of the Internets, we can actually do some sleuthing ourselves to find out the answers to these questions. Here's what she wrote about herself on her MySpace page.
My Name Is Amber, I Am From Houston Texas, Now Living In California.

Beauty and the Geek: Episode 5.2 "Raps, Rhymes and Geeks" Recap
added by newsBotPreviously on Beauty and the Geek, nine beauties and nine geeks met for the first time. They found out that they would be competing against each other, and the beauties immediately set about strategizing. Tensions rose between Randi and Amber, and their big, colossal fight sent Jim running to go get some popcorn. In the new elimination room, John E. wasn't quick enough with the buzzer, and he became the first person to be ejected from season 5 of Beauty and the Geek.
Tonight's episode of Beauty and the Geek begins immediately post-elimination. Everyone cheers for the returning geeks. Amber is happy to see Tommy back. She's a little gold-digger in the making—she likes Tom because he's good-looking (and not a real geek, I still maintain) and he'll be rich someday. Cara is happy to see Chris and his rhinestone-encrusted pink hat. Tara isn't too keen to see Jonathan

Beauty and the Geek: Episode 5.1 "Beauties vs. Geeks" Recap
added by newsBotBeauty and the Geek" />Welcome to the season premiere of that lovely social experiment we know and love, Beauty and the Geek. This season, the experiment has changed in a very material way. Instead of being paired up in beauty/geek pairs, the competition will be beauties versus geeks. What hasn't changed, however, is that there are remarkable transformations in store for us this season, not to mention that there will also be that $250,000 pot at the end of the competition.
Tonight's episode of Beauty and the Geek begins when the nine male geeks pull up in a GeekMobile and arrive at a hangar. The doors open, and in comes a jet, the AirBeauty. The beauties walk out, looking very sultry and gorgeous. It's cute to see the geeks' jaws drops. In the confessional room, Cara the aspiring soap star admits that she can't tell time. Leticia, confessionals that

Beauty and the Geek 5: Preseason Power Rankings - The Beauties
added by newsBotOn Tuesday, I presented you with my preseason ranked list of all the geeks on season 5 of Beauty and the Geek, and today I will do the same for the beauties. Just as it was difficult making judgments on the geeks based on a handful of words and a photo, it's actually even more difficult doing so for the beauties because they all seem so similar on paper. How many different kinds of models can there be, anyway? However, never fear, I have done all the hard work for you and have carefully pored through all the details that have been made public about these beauties in order to rank them.
Below, please find my Beauty and the Geek Preseason Power Rankings of the beauties.
9. Jillian, Playboy bunny
The reason why Jillian is ranked last among all the beauties is because of her rather vacant expression in her press photo.

Beauty and the Geek 5: Preseason Power Rankings - The Geeks
added by newsBotLast week, we met the nine male geeks and nine female beauties of season 5 of Beauty and the Geek who will begin their quest to become more than just beauties or more than just geeks, and perhaps winning $250,000 while they're at it. This season, instead of competing in beauty/geek pairs, it will be a battle of beauty versus geek. Which beauties and which geeks have the potential to make the biggest transformation? Who has what it takes to make it all the way? Well, it's too early to say. All we really know about them is what we've gathered from their pictures, their professions and their chosen monikers, but that's enough for me to make a preliminary analysis.
Below, I present to you my Beauty and the Geek Preseason Power Rankings of the geeks.
9. Tommy, sweater vest enthusiast
There is nothing I hate more than a fake geek pretending
