  Jason Clarke has landed the lead in an untitled CBS legal pilot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Clarke will topline the ensemble of The Eye's drama set at a Manhattan U.S. Attorney's office. Clarke will play the section chief overseeing a team of four lawyers and a fleet of paralegals.  Following television's ongoing casting trend, CBS seems to be looking abroad for casting, with Aussie Clarke joining Lennie James in the pilot.  Clarke toplines Showtime's "Brotherhood." Jason Isaacs thinks acting is 'silly'. The star of the "Brotherhood" series on Showtime and 'Harry Potter' actor - who plays Lucius Malfoy in the movie adaptations of J. K. Rowling's popular books - has blasted his profession, branding it a "ridiculous" way to earn money. He said: "Along the way, the idea that I get dressed up and pretend to be other people for a living has seemed sillier and sillier to me. Acting is an inherently narcissistic thing to do a lot of the time." The 45-year-old British star says fame is "bizarre", and finds it strange that fans scream for him at movie premieres but treat him like a normal person the rest of the time.

Universal’s adaptation of the graphic novel 2 Guns is one step closer to hitting the big screen. The studio, which acquired the rights last August, has signed on Blake Masters, creator of the Showtime crime series Brotherhood, to pen the screenplay. Guns, written by Steven Grant with art by Mat Santolouco, follows a DEA agent and an undercover naval intelligence officer who are unwittingly investigating each other and who steal mob money for the good guys. They realize later that the mob actually got them to swipe $50 million from the CIA. The trades say the project aims to be a throwback to classic '80s buddy cop movies in the vein of Lethal Weapon and 48 Hrs., but with a modern spin.
