8/29/2001
When Meg, due to her crush on Tom Tucker, the newscaster, applies for an internship at the local television station and gets the job, she is disappointed to find that her news partner is the most reviled nerd in school, Neil. Caught in a life-threatening news situation, Meg laments that she never had a first kiss and agrees to kiss Neil only to find that he taped the whole thing in order to broadcast it across the world. Meg broadcasts her own news that she has no interest in Neil, sending him to the ledge on top of Town Hall. She breaks his fall, only to find out that he had no intention of jumping and was just trying to get her attention again. Stewie's prized new tricycle is stolen by the neighborhood bully, but the bully soon learns not to screw with Stewie.

And the new character on The Simpsons is ...
added by newsBotRecently, to celebrate the show's 20th season, there was a contest to create a new character for The Simpsons. Well, the winner has been announced as Peggy Black of Orange, Conn., and the character is Ricardo Bomba, who is quite the ladies' man.
While the concept of a womanizing male character has been done on The Simpsons before (Life on the Fast Lane, anyone?), it hasn't been done with any regularity. This could be the case of The Simpsons stealing from the Family Guy character of Glenn Quagmire (although likely with more taste). However, the concept of the ladies' man has been around since Casanova himself so I don't think it actually qualifies as a theft.
With a show like The Simpsons, it's always tough to find new concepts and new characters. The popular theory is that television ideas can be recycled every seven years, but The Simpsons has been around for twenty. »

The Simpsons Quotes: "The Devil Wears Nada"
added by newsBotAfter taking off the last month for the World Series and the Family Guy live-action special, The Simpsons returned last night with its episode, "The Devil Wears Nada," which was meant to coincide with Marge Simpson's Playboy spread.
During the episode, Marge posed for a calendar and ended up in much more provactive pictures than she thought. However, the photos got her all the attention from the town, but none from Homer.
That's because Homer was busy following Carl around as his new assistant. All in all it made for some great Simpsons quotes. Here are some of our favorites from the episode:
Lenny: I'm gonna miss Ted, he was a good supervisor
Carl: Definitely hands off. He didn't mind if we punched out late
Homer: And he didn't mind that we made a few changes to the soda machine...mmm... beer | permalink Bart: Stop dragging me! When I get »

Family Guy Quotes: "Quagmire's Baby"
added by newsBotLast night on Family Guy, Quagmire discovered that all his sexual exploits finally had repercussions when he learns he has a baby girl that gets dropped off on his doorstep during "Quagmire's Baby." We're actually quite shocked Family Guy never went with this plotline before.
Quagmire actually steps it up and names the girl Ana Lee and attempts to raise her on his own, until she gets in the way of him getting laid. That's when he puts the girl up for adoption.
Meanwhile Stewie created clones for Brian and himself. All in all it was a mediocre episode that had some decent Family Guy quotes. Here's some of our favorites:
Stewie: Hey will you take me down to Baby Gap? I want to dress like a small douche. | permalink Stewie: It's healthier than what they ate in the fifties...
Customer: Steak and donut sandwich please.
Waiter: You want cigarettes on that sandwich. »
