Series Creator David S. Goyer Comments on 'Flash Forward' Hiatus
added by newsBotWe're scratching our heads and furrowing our brows like Mark Benford all the way to March, because that's when ABC's serialized drama Flash Forward is returning. With three months to wait, the fans are devastated at this incredibly long hiatus. But really, it's for the best, according to series creator David S. Goyer.
Talking to Jeff Jensen of Entertainment Weekly, Goyer divulged the original plans he had for the series and why they changed. The second half of Flash Forward's first season was initially set for January, but the schedule was just so frustrating that they had it moved.

Drinking with the Stars: 'Cougar Town's' Brian Van Holt
added by newsBotAfter a one-week break, "Cougar Town" returns Wednesday (Dec. 9) with guest star Scott Foley in tow. Playing a potential love interest for Jules (Courteney Cox), Foley's character will have a bit of competition from some rich client of hers. But he has no idea how complicated the Jules situation is with the added headache of both Grayson (Josh Hopkins) and Bobby (Brian Van Holt)...
Sure, Grayson is just Jules' neighbor across the street and Bobby is her ex-husband, but as Brian Van Holt told Korbi TV when we sat down for a few drinks together, there are still feelings there and they will be explored.
In fact, those feelings will get even more complicated when Ms. Lisa Kudrow, of "Friends" fame, comes aboard to play Bobby's new lady. Van Holt describes Kudrow's character as a "bitch on wheels," but I guess Bobby's way into that.
Watch...
We love Bobby Cobb. »

'FlashForward' Author: Hiatus Is A Good Thing
added by newsBotNormally pulling a show from the schedules for a prolonged period is a bad sign. Not so, according to author Robert J. Sawyer, the author of the book the ABC series "FlashForward" is based on, who insists that the hiatus is a good thing for the show. "A lot of people are spinning this online as a bad thing, or a sign of lack of faith in the show on the part of ABC," he said. "I suspect the announcing of the scheduling change could have been handled better, but, in fact, it's a very good thing overall." How so, you ask? Well, the decision to hold off on bringing the series back after the festive break means that the final run of the series will be uninterrupted and can run in the serialized form with which it has found so much success. Of course, with such a large break »

Looking back at decade, Peter Jackson tells EW he was 'amazed' at first response to 'Lotr'
added by newsBotLord of the Rings trilogy director Peter Jackson, one of Entertainment Weekly's Entertainers of the Decade, shared some surprising memories of the past ten years. Asked, for instance, if there had been one particular day when he realized he might pull off the wildy ambitious trilogy, he said, via email, “Yes, in May 2001, in Cannes. We screened 20 minutes of Fellowship to a group of journalists and distributors. It was a huge relief that the screening went well, because the studio had not responded very positively to the footage and they told us to expect the worst. This is why we »

added by newsBotAfter last week's fall finale, the fans are hurrying to have more details divulged on Flash Forward. Unfortunately for us, the ABC network has opted to delay the show's return. Yes, it's still coming back next year, but way later than expected.
Several reports have revealed ABC's decision to bring Flash Forward back in March 4. From there, it's going to have 12 episodes to air until the end of one season. That's definitely a long winter break and one long season, but will it still be worth our wait?

Korean Beacon Taps PlayStation’s Christina Lee for ‘Monday Mashup’
added by newsBotI'll admit, the first time I went to this site, I read it as Korean Bacon (which, by the way is a site of its own worth salivating over). But Korean Beacon as it maybe, is a relatively new site all about Korean-American life and culture. Let's face it, Koreans are pretty cool. They have John Cho (FlashForward) and Ken Jeong (The Hangover). "The Korean wave is happening and Hollywood is importing Korean artists and talent into the American mainstream," says Korean Beacon. So fittingly, they tapped another Korean rising star, Christina Lee, host of video game news series Pulse on the PlayStation Network, to host a weekly Korean-American pop culture series for the site. This series nails the newsy recap genre in which it plays—it's topical, niche, and short—clocking in at just over a minute breezing through its news bites without a dollop of unnecessary fluff. »
