Joanna Lumley set to make Broadway debut
added by newsBotLondon, Feb 15 – British actress Joanna Lumley is set to make her Broadway debut when she joins ‘Frasier’ star David Hyde Pierce onstage for a revival of comedy drama ‘La Bete’.
Lumley, 63, will star opposite Pierce, 50, in the play, based on David Hirson’s 1991 Broadway show, set in 17th century France, reports the Daily Express.
They will both appear in the theatrical comedy for a six-to-eight-week stint in London’s West End in spring this year, before transferring to New York in the autumn.

Before going on a short hiatus, Desperate Housewives treated us with a so-so episode. This week's episode introduced an almost unrecognizable Julie Benz as stripper Robin (see above), whom Susan takes under her wing; offered us a funnily stinky performance from Frasier's Jane Leeves, which helped Tom and Lynette grow as a couple; put Angie and the Solises at odds as Danny and Ana were ready to take their relationship to the next step; and had the Bree-Orson storyline take a turn that I'm not enjoying at all.
