  From Movies Blog: As you should all know by now, we’ve got a bunch of exclusive premieres to look forward to at this Sunday’s 2009 MTV Movie Awards, starting at 9pm Est. New clips from “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.” And of course, the trailer debut of “Twilight” follow-up “New Moon.”
  As an added bonus for those who tune in to the Movie Awards pre-show, we’ll also be running a brand-new clip from “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.” The pre-show starts at 7pm Est, so make sure you tune in or set your DVRs. • New ‘G.I. Joe’ Clip is Fashion Over Function

  MTV has debuted a brand new 45-second clip from Paramount's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra this week in anticipation of tonight's MTV Movie Awards, where an extended clip will be shown alongside clips from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Twilight: New Moon and others. In the clip, which can be seen via the player below, we see The Baroness (Sienna Miller) and Storm Shadow (Byung-hun Lee) as they attempt to fire some sort of ecological warhead at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. But hot on their trail are Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) in their accelerator suits (which are one part kinda cool, one part 'why god?!'). G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra hits theaters on August 7, 2009. It is directed by Stephen Sommers. Note: We've updated this post with the extended clip below. Enjoy.
