'The Bill' documentary fails to shine
added by newsBotA spinoff documentary based on The Bill was a ratings flop for ITV1 on Wednesday night, averaging just 2.56m (11%) in the 9pm hour. The Bill Made Me Famous recounted some of the cop drama's most notable star turns, including Michelle Collins, Darren Day and a young James McAvoy. It followed on from the latest episode of The Bill, which won the 8pm hour with a strong 5.15m (23%). Comfortably triumphing in the 9pm slot was BBC One, which had 6.28m (27.1%) for the penultimate episode of Silent Witness. Channel 4's The Family ended its eight-episode run with 1.83m (7.9%) and a further 324k (2.1%) on Channel 4+1. BBC Two's Heroes put in 1.76m (7.5%), then behind-the-scenes show Heroes Unmasked managed 1.12m (5%). 837k (5%) saw the next episode on BBC Three. Five brought in a healthy 1.79m (7.7%) for the final episode of Paul
