Chris Columbus used to have a magic touch. Sure, you might not have liked the movies, but he was the hand behind the first two Home Alone movies and the first two Harry Potter films. He’s had misfires, for sure, but his first major script was Gremlins. Gremlins. But when you look at his filmography he goes from highs to lows, but there’s something of a chance-taker in him too. He was the guy who wanted to direct Rent, for god’s sake. And though his plastic hands have released such odious affairs as Stepmom and Bicentennial Man, he’s not a filmmaker to write off. We're starting to see Thanksgiving episodes of TV shows, and Heroes is no exception. This Monday's episode ("Thanksgiving") has the Bennett family gathering for Turkey Day and it's...uncomfortable, especially since Mom brings a date (Doug) and so does Noah (Lauren).
But the question I have (and so will you) about this scene is: where the hell is Lyle?

"Heroes" gets into the Thanksgiving mood next week and some sneak peeks of the family dinner are released by NBC. H.R.G. hosts an untraditional Thanksgiving dinner. Elsewhere, the Petrelli family gets a surprise guest at their table.
In two of the clips, the Petrellis are getting ready for the Thanksgiving dinner and Claire's mom shows up with her new boyfriend. In another clip, the viewers are taken back to how Sandra met Doug, and H.R.G. met Lauren. The others show what everyone in the Bennet Thanksgiving are thankful for and Claire telling everybody that she wants to drop out of college.
Also in the episode airing on Monday, November 23, Samuel continues to hold Hiro hostage, as Lydia (guest star Dawn Olivieri) goes in search for the truth.
