Amber Heard Enters John Carpenter The Ward -- Shouldn't be any scarier than her stint on 'Hidden Palms'
added by newsBotNow that the reboot of "The Thing" seems to be in capable hands, legendary director John Carpenter can turn his sights towards the horizon – the scary, bleak horizon that is invariably created when Carpenter decides to direct a new film. According to Ryan over at ShockTillYouDrop, Carpenter will begin shooting "The Ward" this May with Amber Heard (an actress whose name is know to me, though I have no idea what she is especially known for) in the lead. Heard will play "a young woman trapped in a mental asylum with a malevolent ghost. As danger creeps closer, she comes to realize that this ghost may be darker than she could have imagined." Now, I'm not sure what kind of ghost one might typically encounter while being trapped in a mental institution, but I'd hazard a guess that any spirit residing therein is going to have some issues. ...

CW Joins the Vampire Craze with New Show
