Jericho

Extinct CBS show "Jericho" has been given a second life - in comic form. CBS has announced a deal with Devil's Due Publishing to create a comic book based on the cult series.
The show, which centers on the residents of a fictional town of Jericho in the aftermath of nuclear attacks, was initially canceled after its first season due to low ratings. It was later brought back after the network was convinced by loyal fans, but was canceled for the second time after seven episodes.
The comic book series will pick up where the TV show left off a year ago.
Co-executive producer Dan Shotz has been quoted by BBC as saying, "Jericho is alive and well, thanks to the amazing fans who've driven us to fund new and fresh ways to tell the Jericho story."

Jericho was one of those shows that I sort of liked, but as it went on, it just got really dull and silly, and I just tuned out after a couple of episodes. What really got me most about the show was just how indifferent people seem to be about that whole “end of America” part, and still kept on with their affairs, money grubbing ways, etc. Really? Eh. "Jericho" star Skeet Ulrich has been tapped as the lead of CBS' drama pilot "Back," which centers on a man (Ulrich) who returns home to discover he was reported missing eight years earlier, after September 11th. He must reconnect with his family and a world that has moved on without him. Dean Widenmann ("CSI: Miami") penned the script and is executive producing with "Hairspray" producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. Mark Pellington (The Mothman Prophecies, Arlington Road) is directing. Ulrich was involved in the successful grass-roots campaign to save the cult drama "Jericho" when CBS canceled it after one season. In a rare reversal, the network brought the show back for a second season. In addition to his starring role on "Jericho," which is airing on the CW, Ulrich also appeared in the TNT mini-series "Into the West" and has wrapped the Sony Screen Gems feature "Armored."
