added by newsBotHere's your daily dose of film news for Feb. 18, 2009:
• Aaron Rapke and Stewart Kaye will adapt Danny King's novel "School for Scumbags," according to Variety. The book follows a teenager who, after being kicked out of multiple schools, ends up in a special school for troublemakers where real-life thieves teach the kids how to pull off a giant heist.
• Martin Lawrence is attached to star in "Back to America," a film about a Queens man who finds out he is the heir to the throne of an African country. Lawrence will co-produce the film with Alcon Entertainment. He was last seen in "College Road Trip." (Variety)
• Twentieth Century Fox decided to push back Sandra Bullock's new comedy "All About Steve" to the fall. The film was originally scheduled to open March 6, but with many romantic comedies currently out there already, the studio thought it may be best to postpone the release.
