Elisabeth Hasselbeck Dismisses Plagiarism Claim
added by newsBotNo worries, says Elisabeth Hasselbeck - who took a brief moment during Wednesday's The View to comment on the copyright infringement charge against her by a Massachusetts author. "I just want to assure you the allegations are without merit and are being handled appropriately," said Hasselbeck, 32, who has spoken openly about her self-diagnosed celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder linked to gluten proteins in wheat, barley and rye. Hasselbeck's book, The G Free Diet-a Gluten-Free Survival Guide, was published in May 2009 by Center Street Hachette Book Group. Crying foul, and seeking $3 million, is Susan Hassett, who claims that in 2008 she had

According to the Boston Globe, the self-published author of Living With Celiac Disease, Susan Hassett, filed a federal copyright-infringement lawsuit alleging parts of her tome were swiped by the former Survivor star. Hasselbeck's The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide was released last month. Hassett claims she mailed Hasselbeck a copy of her book, along with newspaper clippings, a note, a homemade cooking video and a business card, in April 2008—after Hasselbeck revealed she suffered from celiac disease, in which the body cannot process gluten. There was no...

Review: “I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of here”
added by newsBotLast night NBC premiered its summer reality show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, a show where a group of reality-show and would-be celebrities rough it in the jungle in order to earn money for charity. The show, at its core, is a cross between Survivor, Big Brother, and a little bit of VH1’s old Surreal Life series. And just to keep you up to speed, the idea isn’t a new one.
