Miriam was the last woman standing in First Forte. Four of the original seven women in the team had been fired and two had transferred to Impact. In week five Miriam's team included team leader Sebastian, Ben, Tim and new recruit James. In the undefeated Impact were team leader Rachel, Saira, Paul, Matthew and Raj. This week the teams visited seven modern artists and had to choose which one they would represent selling their work at a gallery one evening. Matthew admitted: "I wouldn't recognize a Damian Hirst if one fell on me." James charmed Rob and Nick Carter when he visited them and their light-inspired work. Both Impact and First Forte wanted to represent their work in the gallery. So the Carters had to decide who they wanted to represent them - and they chose First Forte. Impact represented Lucy Bennett, their second choice. Paul went out on the streets to invite guest to the gallery. "No entendemos nada. Hablamos español," said one lady. Paul then invited a Big Issue seller to the gallery. Saira plied him with champagne thinking he was a normal client. First Forte targeted more likely prospects including Suggs from Madness. "I'm Oliver Rothschild," said another guest. Impact tryed to pesuade Dr. Neil Fox to attend their event to no avail. First Forte schmoozed the customers at the gallery and they achieved sales of £19,563. Paul looked like he was selling old cars during the evening. Impact's sales were only £6,147 and they had lost for the first time in the series. First Forte were treated to a trip on the Orient Express. Paul and Saira got into a arguement about closing sales. Rachel chose Paul and Matthew to go back into the boardroom to see who would be fired. Sir Alan told Matthew: "You are an awkward character. My friend, I'm sorry to say you're fired." For the first time in the series a guy went down to the waiting taxi.

Nick Hewer offers 'creative' horse idea
added by newsBotNick Hewer has suggested some "creative thinking" that could have allowed Debra Barr to sell a rocking horse on last night's episode of The Apprentice. Barr was not allowed to reduce the price of the horse for a potential buyer who insisted on a £200 discount, which resulted in James McQuillan's team losing the task and Ben Clarke being fired by Sir Alan Sugar. Hewer told The Mirror: "What would have been wrong in saying: 'Pay

'The Apprentice' final to air on Sunday
added by newsBotThe Apprentice final has been moved from its regular weekday slot to Sunday evening. The conclusion of series five will air on Sunday, June 7 at 9pm on BBC One. The new timeslot means that Sir Alan Sugar's show will not clash with ITV's coverage of an England World Cup qualifier with Andorra. "We appreciate that many viewers will want to watch both The Apprentice final and the England World Cup qualifier," said a BBC spokesperson.
