'The Apprentice' final to air on Sunday
added by newsBotThe Apprentice final has been moved from its regular weekday slot to Sunday evening. The conclusion of series five will air on Sunday, June 7 at 9pm on BBC One. The new timeslot means that Sir Alan Sugar's show will not clash with ITV's coverage of an England World Cup qualifier with Andorra. "We appreciate that many viewers will want to watch both The Apprentice final and the England World Cup qualifier," said a BBC spokesperson.

'Apprentice' dented by UEFA match

The tenth episode of the BBC One reality series, which saw another candidate fired by Sir Alan, was seen by 6.46m (24.9%) at 9pm, a drop of 1.91m from last week's performance. The half-hour spinoff The Apprentice: You're Fired, which featured Sir Alan's right-hand woman, Margaret Mountford, was not as badly affected by the clash, interesting 3.38m (16.4%) on BBC Two at 10pm. ITV1's coverage of the Manchester United game against Barcelona averaged an impressive 7.89m (33.8%) between 7pm and 10.15pm. BBC One's Apprentice lead-in, Ten Things You Need To Know About Losing Weight, put in 3.07m (12.5%) during the 8pm hour, Springwatch had 2.71m (11%) for BBC Two, and 1.57m (6.4%) tuned in for Channel
