"...when it's not your turn." - McNultyDuring the trial of D'Angelo Barksdale, a mid-level dealer accused of murder, the prosecution's star witness recants her testimony, resulting in a not guilty verdict. After the trial, Detective James "Jimmy" McNulty explains to Judge Phelan how he suspects the Barksdale crew for a slew of related murders. When the judge contacts McNulty's superiors about this revelation, McNulty is taken to task for his indiscretion. Meanwhile, D'Angelo is free to return to work, but he soon discovers that he's been demoted.

Thor’s Hammer Strikes another Talented Actor as Idris Elba Comes on Board
added by newsBotIf you’ve seen The Wire, you know that Idris Elba is a ridiculously talented actor who has yet to become a massive success stateside. But now that’s just a matter of time as he already appeared last season on The Office (which didn’t really utilize his talent but a lot of folks watch it, myself included), will appear next year in the comic book action flick The Losers and now he’s landed a role in Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming adaptation of Marvel’s Thor.

Idris Elba Joins the Cast of Thor

Recently we reported on the casting of The Warriors Three, and tonight we've learned that Idris Elba (The Wire's Stringer Bell, RocknRolla) has joined the cast as Heimdell, "the guardian of Asgard, he stands on the BiFrost Bridge ready to defend the city from intruders." I suppose we shouldn't be surprised by this torrent of casting news since the film starts shooting in January. The rest of the cast includes Chris Hemsworth (as Thor), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), and Natalie Portman. And let's not forget the recently cast Warriors Three, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, and Stuart Townsend. The plot, as we've reported before: The movie’s story sees the god of thunder Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions re-ignite an ancient war. As punishment, Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans. »
