Bubbles finds gainful employment; and Bunk dangles the promise of immunity to a group of corner boys, in exchange for a little help. Greggs learns how Marlo takes care of business, as Bubbles instructs her on the next big thing: disposable cell phones. Carcetti reveals his political ambitions and tries to enlist the help of an old acquaintance. The cops of the Western ride into the District for a roundup; Colvin delivers his plan to the corner boys, but they're not buying; and a frustrated Cutty opts to return to the game, welcomed back with open arms.

Thor’s Hammer Strikes another Talented Actor as Idris Elba Comes on Board
added by newsBotIf you’ve seen The Wire, you know that Idris Elba is a ridiculously talented actor who has yet to become a massive success stateside. But now that’s just a matter of time as he already appeared last season on The Office (which didn’t really utilize his talent but a lot of folks watch it, myself included), will appear next year in the comic book action flick The Losers and now he’s landed a role in Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming adaptation of Marvel’s Thor.

Idris Elba Joins the Cast of Thor

Recently we reported on the casting of The Warriors Three, and tonight we've learned that Idris Elba (The Wire's Stringer Bell, RocknRolla) has joined the cast as Heimdell, "the guardian of Asgard, he stands on the BiFrost Bridge ready to defend the city from intruders." I suppose we shouldn't be surprised by this torrent of casting news since the film starts shooting in January. The rest of the cast includes Chris Hemsworth (as Thor), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), and Natalie Portman. And let's not forget the recently cast Warriors Three, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, and Stuart Townsend. The plot, as we've reported before: The movie’s story sees the god of thunder Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions re-ignite an ancient war.
