Alexander Skarsgard Denies Romancing Kate Bosworth
added by newsBotAlexander Skarsgard has turned down rumor that he has a special relationship with his "Straw Dogs" co-star Kate Bosworth. "I'm not dating anyone, those are just rumors," he told Radar Online during his appearance at GQ Men of the Year party at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood on Wednesday, November 18. Asked if there are any special women in his life, the "True Blood" actor simply answered, "My mom and my sister."
Contrary to his statement, Alexander was reportedly seen holding hands with Kate when passing through the guests at the event. "Alex and Kate were holding hands and seemed like a couple. At one point, they held onto the smalls of each others' backs," a partygoer told Just Jared.
Back in October, Alexander Skarsgard was rumored getting cozy with Kate Bosworth backstage at 2009 Scream Awards. Seen holding hands while chatting with their friends in the green room, the twosome »

True Blood Star Camping Out for New Moon Tix?!
added by newsBotAlexander Skarsgård can't wait to start shooting the next season of True Blood. "It's been like five or six months since I've seen most of them," Skarsgård, who plays vampire Eric on the hit HBO series, told me at the GQ Men of the Year party. "I miss the whole cast and crew. It's sort of my family away from my family in Sweden." In the meantime, there is that other bloodsucking megahit phenomenon sweeping the universe to keep everyone company. So, will Mr. Skarsgård be checking out New Moon? "When does it open?" he said, smiling. "I'll get my sleeping bag and wait in line." (P.S.: Maybe Kate Bosworth will join him. The maybe-couple were... »

Movie Review: New Moon
added by newsBotLet's call it like it is. New Moon is critic-proof. I doubt there's anyone out there going, "Well, I saw Twilight, I want to see what happens with Edward and Bella, I want to see Jacob wolf-out, but I'll wait and see what the critics have to say about New Moon before buying a ticket." If you're a Twilight fan, you're going to go - likely multiple times - to see New Moon in a theater.
I realize I could say New Moon's the worst movie ever made and that declaration wouldn't influence anyone. I know that. (Before you attack, I'm not saying New Moon is the worst movie ever made. That was just to illustrate a point.) That said, it's still my job to write up a review. Take it as you like, and know that before I defected to True Blood, I loved the Twilight books - »

Ron Says 'New Moon' Has A Little More Bite But Still Kinda Sucks
added by newsBotI can't lie, I'm sick of all the vampires. What once seemed cool to me has been watered down with all of these novels, television shows and movies that appear to be geared more towards teens than adults. At least HBO's 'True Blood' is adult in nature and the CW's 'The Vampire Diaries' is a lot darker and mature than expected. (Seriously.) As for the 'Twilight' saga, well that's a different animal entirely. Stephanie Meyer's four novels have been called a 'Harry Potter' series for girls, yet although J.K. Rowling's epic is about wizards, her stories feel more “realistic”. As Rowling's series progressed, the characters evolved and the stakes grew higher and higher. Not to mention, her stories have a pretty high body count for a series aimed at kids. 'Twilight' is also a series of young adult novels, but it's aimed at women and in »

'True Blood' Star Stephen Moyer, Brittany Murphy And Luis Guzman Answer 'The Caller'
added by newsBotThe vampires of "Twilight" aren't the only bloodsuckers making the rounds this week. "True Blood" star Stephen Moyer is earning a name for himself on the big screen as well, first with "Priest" — an adaptation of the TokyoPop manga series — and now with a thriller called "The Caller."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Moyer is joining the film alongside Brittany Murphy and Luis Guzman, making for one of the strangest casting round-ups that I can think of in recent memory. "The Caller" is directed by Mathew Parkhill and written by Sergio Casci.
Bloody Disgusting has a rundown on the film's plot, which focuses on a woman named Mary Kee. She starts receiving mysterious phone calls on her old antique phone from an unknown caller named Rose, and her fears are only heightened when she learns that Rose is reaching out to her from the past. When Mary threatens to end contact with Rose, »

Brittany Murphy Gets a Call From the Past. The Deadly Past!
added by newsBotFormer “8 Mile” star Brittany Murphy has been cast as the female lead in Matthew Parkhill’s horror/thriller “The Caller”, the premise of which sounds a tad sci-fi to me, or at least, a little “Twilight Zone”-ish. She joins a cast that already includes “True Blood” star Stephen Moyer and Luiz Guzman. The film sees Murphy playing a troubled divorcee named Mary Kee, who begins receiving strange telephone calls from a mystery caller that she soon realizes is calling her from the past. This, apparently, leads Mary to believe that she must kill the caller in order to save herself. I haven’t a clue what that means, but I suspect that isn’t the film’s big twist, since, well, it’s already been revealed, hasn’t it? »
